Underrated Books I Want To Read In 2020

I created a list of underrated books I wanted to read in 2019, and kind of forgot about it. A big focus of mine in 2020 is reading books that I am interested in and not falling prey to the over hyped and over talked about books in the book community. I really think an issue I have is I fall into the hype and feel like I need to read all of the books everyone is talking about. Many of these books I read and enjoy, but there is also a good percent that I really only read because everyone else was and ended up not enjoying them.

I want to get back to reading and enjoying books because I want to read them or I have some interest in the story, author etc. Some of my favorite books I read in the last few years are underrated and not really talked about, which I have no idea why they aren’t. But they are from smaller publishing houses and don’t get all the exposure and in the hands of as many booktubers etc that really guide a lot of the book community in my opinion.

It is one of my goals for 2020 to read 15 underrated books. This list is going to be a loose plan of the ones I want to read. I have found that in order to read 15 I need to have more than 15 options in case I am not feeling one!

These books have under 5000 ratings on Goodreads and have been sitting on my shelves for far too long (while at least a majority of them) A few are newer to me but have been out for awhile and I have heard little to nothing about them. I feel like part of my duty as a book reader/reviewer/blogger is finding the hidden books and telling everyone about them!

November 2019 TBR

October was a crazy busy month with lots going on that there was not much time for reading. Fall is one of my favorite reading seasons because I love all the paranormal, horror and spooky things! So many of the books on my November TBR have transferred over from the books I was hoping to read in October. […]

Current Reading Dilemma

I’ve been in the weird place of such conflicting reading feelings. I have review books and ARCs on my nightstand needing to be read. Books that I have committed to and made an agreement to read/review in exchange for a copy of the book. I have e-arcs that need to be read and reviewed so I do not […]

Summer E-book Haul

I have owned a kindle for quite some time now, but rarely ever use it. It has tons of pros, such as light and easy to travel with. It also happens the ebooks are a ton cheaper than physical books. I just lean towards physical books because I am more inclined to pick it up and read it.  […]
